Air Conditioner Air conditioners are designed to remove heat and humidity from the air. They work by using a compressor to move refrigerant through a coil. The cold, low pressure gas absorbs heat in the air through the coils, causing water in the air to condense on the coils, thus removing excess humidity from your home.
